The Two-Ball Tee Drill

January 2009

By: Jim Dice

Equipment:

  • JUGS Hitting Tee
  • Two 12-inch plastic balls with holes (polyballs)
  • Your bat
  • Home plate

Set the tee on home plate, with the tube over the front of the plate.

Set the ball on the tee and the other ball on top of the first ball.

Swing and hit the bottom ball and drive it forward. This will help you work on line drives.

If the swing is not level, the top ball goes up in the air—as in picture 1.

If the swing is level, the top ball falls to the ground—as in picture 2.

If the swing is perfect, the top ball sits on top of the tee—as in picture 3.

This will help if your batters are rolling their wrists or pulling their head.
